There'll Be Days Like this
There are days like today, when nothing flows.
When the air feels tight, when breath is laboured.
If things are going wrong, today is the day for it.
Finding something to be grateful for seems to evade me.
When it feels as though the world has forsaken me and everyone nods in agreement.
The only thing to do today is have tea, sit quietly, and pray for a better tomorrow.

Maybe some days aren’t meant to be fixed. Maybe they’re simply meant to be lived through gently. We don’t always have to find something to be grateful for, or turn every difficult feeling into a lesson. Sometimes it’s enough to acknowledge that today is heavy and allow ourselves to rest.
A difficult day is not a difficult life. And the way the world feels to us in our darkest moments is not necessarily the truth of what it is. Sometimes we simply need to breathe, be still, and give tomorrow the chance to look different.
